ECOP Webinar on Pag-IBIG’s Services and Assistance In the Time of a Public Health Emergency

Updated as of 15 July 2020

On 25 March 2020, the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) hosted an online seminar facilitated by Pag-IBIG to guide members, employers and employees alike, on the services and assistance it can provide during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

For inquiries or application, you may get in touch with Pag-Ibig (HDMF) at (+632) 87244244 or contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph. The application form for MPL can be accessed here and the application form for Calamity Loan here. Online application procedures can be accessed here or here. In general, member employees can apply for:

  1. Pag-IBIG loans, both multi-purpose loan (MPL) and calamity loan, through email submission.
  2. A moratorium on monthly contributions falling due on 16 March 2020 to 15 June 2020.

During the open forum, Pag-IBIG clarified that while it is currently exploring a loan facility for employers to assist them in paying their obligations, i.e. wages and benefits, to their employees, the current loan programs are for employees only. There is no loan facility for employers (i.e. to allow employers to borrow from Pag-IBIG in order to pay 13thmonth benefit of employees).
